About

I'm Nikhil — a backend engineer interested in building systems that hold up under real conditions. I don't chase frameworks; I try to understand the problems they exist to solve.

I primarily work with TypeScript and Node.js, building APIs and backend services on top of MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Redis. I've spent time thinking about authentication infrastructure, transactional correctness, async processing patterns, and how services should talk to each other.

Right now, I'm deepening my understanding of distributed systems, service boundaries, and infrastructure — the kinds of decisions that determine how well a system survives at scale or under load.

Outside of backend work, I experiment with hardware (ESP32), contribute small developer tools, and occasionally explore what it means to build well-designed developer experiences.
